My name is Dexter Parshotam, and I have been diagnosed with Becker muscular dystrophy, a muscle-wasting disease. Before my diagnosis, I was outgoing, competent, independent, and socially active. My mobility limitations have unfortunately impacted  by this  disease. I do not have the ability to perform tasks with precision. I am now largely dependent on others for mobility assistance. To regain some independence and mobility, I would like the opportunity to purchase a mobility scooter, as I work part time  and this prevents me from affording one. This would reduce my reliance on family members for transportation and provide opportunities for increased independence and participation in activities.  I would like to raise £4,000 to purchase a scooter.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.
