Help with Reynard's Surgery and Recovery
Donation protected
On the night of November 12th, our dear friend and extended family member's adorable and sweet, loving dog, Reynard (aka Rey Rey), was brutally attacked by a much larger dog. Mimi found Rey Rey in the corner of the yard, and she thought he was dead. The trip to the animal hospital was harrowing, with Rey squealing in pain, and much crying going on. Rey Rey's injuries were serious and Mimi and Scott were told there was a chance he would not make it through surgery. Though, according to the doctors, the surgery was very challenging, Rey Rey made it safely through. He now has a metal plate and some wiring holding his jaw, which was fractured in multiple places, together. Rey Rey's teeth and mouth were severely damaged, as well, and eating will be very painful for him for the foreseeable future, and he will likely need long term care.
The medical bills are already nearly $5000 in this short span of two days and will continue to pile up. Mimi is a solid member of the New Orleans community, helping to mold young minds at Tulane University. She'd give you the shirt of her back if you needed it, and now it's time to help her out. Scott is a fantastic artist whose murals can be seen around the country and here in New Orleans. The last thing they need is financial woes while going through the trauma that the fur family (they co-parent another another dog named Puck, who is already extremely low energy/ stressed out about his brother not being there) are going through. Even if you can only donate the cost of a grande mocha frappuccino, anything will help us reach our goal.
As an added bonus, anyone who donates $250 or more receives a one hour portrait session in Marc Pagani Photography's studio. This can be a family portrait, pet portrait, headshot...whatever you'd like. It's a great way to get a portrait session at a discounted price. Also as a big bonus, for donations over $500, Scott will paint a 24x36 portrait of you or your pet, a $900 value.
