Help with Rodney's expenses & continued care

Hello, 
I am Michelle Avery, my dear friend Dana Adams fiance, "Rodney Gallegos," is in the hospital after experiencing congestive heart failure on February 23, 2021 and being sent home from the hospital. On February 25, 2021 he had a major stroke in the brain and was taken again by ambulance to the local hospital. That evening after administering blood thinners he was transported to Sacramento to a trauma hospital specializing in stroke patients. That evening he was placed in emergency surgery to try and remove the remaining blood clot in his brain.
Since then Rodney has had many trials and tribulations that have kept him in and out of the ICU and nursing homes.
Rodney was on a ventilator for several weeks and was just recently removed from the feedtube. He has also suffered a brain hemorrhage and was placed in emergency surgery again within the first 2 weeks of being in the hospital in Sacramento. This resulted in him having his cranium cracked to release the pressure on the brain, and drain tubes being placed.
The doctors have said that Rodney is paralyzed on his right side and may not regain use of this. He is slowly regaining some ability to move and communicate. He is starting to follow the nurses with his eyes and from time to time smiles at them or provides a thumbs up to their commands. He has begun to eat pureed foods like applesauce and has said the word,”Apple.” The doctors have told Dana they are unsure to what extent his recovery will be. Currently he will be in the hospital and or nursing facility for some time.
Along with all the above Rodney was taken to a facility 2 weeks ago and fell out of his bed, which has placed him back in the ICU for now.
Dana has been unable to see him at all during this time due to her own medical issue with her ankle and has ungone 2 surgerys of her own while Rodney has been in the hospital. With a 3rd surgery occuring the weekend before Rodney experienced the first incident.
Rodney is a long time native of Contra Costa county growing up in the Brentwood area, currently residing in Clayton. He is an active volunteer and participant, currently the Sergeant of Arms for, “The Sons of American Legion 202,” in Brentwood California. He has also been part of the Steamfitters Local 342 of Concord California for 20 plus years.
The funds contributed will be greatly appreciated by Rodney and his family to pay towards medical expenses and his long term care and rehabilitation to home life.
