Help with Sadie’s Vet costs & Rehoming.

Donation protected
Hello all,

So I about 3 weeks agreed to help a “friend” who was getting evicted by watching her dog Sadie for 2 nights…

We are now 3 weeks later and I’m blessed with this dog still. Sadie is likely 6-7 years old and appears to be perhaps German Shepard Pit mix. When she came to me, she had the wrong food and was moderately underweight.

In order to find her a new home, I am going to have to get her Spay’ed, immunizations, and any other thing the vet recommends.

Because of the being underweight Sadie needs blood tests, and her Soay is going to be more expensive due to her age, and possible heat. I need treats, a harness, high quality food so she can get back to a healthy weight. And supplies for new owner soon.

If this goes beyond the goal, I’ll spoil her with extra toys and anything extra will go to “The Rainbow Rights Initiative” which is a non-profit taking a stance against cyberbullying and advocating for the constitutional rights of vulnerable LBGT individuals.

Thank you everyone, and if if have any suggestions, feel free to reach out. I love you all <3

edit:

4/16/24 my ongoing expenses are $275 at this point, and I am trying to help her gain weight and get her spay/vaccinated so she can go to her forever home…

I am recovering from a lumbar spinal fusion and in the time since this situation was put on me against my consent. Her prior owner blocked me and refuses contact and won’t give me vet records.

This situation has lead to a decline in my own physical health since it was put on me. My physical therapy and mental health is taking a big hit due to all the demands placed on me at this time.

Sadie is mentally doing significantly better in the time I was forced into being a foster. Look at April Moon’s status updates under foster to see the progress made. But I is obvious that she was abused at her last living situation so things have taken a lot of patience.

In want to do the right thing and get her to a good home. If I would have taken her to the shelter is obvious that she’d have likely been put down.

Shes a much happier dog now and trusting humans a bit better in the like 6-7 weeks it’s been. I really need to focus on my own health and business however.

If anyone can share or donate even $5, I’ll be super grateful and it’ll be helping Sadie make it to a good forever home instead of having been put down. This has been a lot on me but it’s my hope that good karma will come from this.

-April Moon.
