Help With Shayla’s Medical Expenses

Hi everyone, I am setting up this go fund me for my sister shayla who has been going through a whirlwind of medical issues lately.
It started on Thursday, February 9th when she woke up with terrible pain in Seattle. Upon realizing there was something wrong, she was determined to get home and try to get better. Overnight the situation grew worse with her waking up in the morning in desperate need of getting into the emergency room. After 7 hours of waiting, she was abruptly informed that she would be heading into a emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix in 30 minutes.
Shayla spent 4 days in recovery with her white blood cell count raising as high as 24,000. When she was discharged, it was at 16,000. After getting home she was determined to get better and back to work and a normal life… this didn’t go as planned.
The night of Wednesday, February 22nd she woke up with a outrageously high fever which sent her straight to the ER again. After waiting for answers for a few hours she was admitted with an abscess in her surgical area where she had to spend another 5 days in the hospital and get a drain inserted into her stomach to help with the infection. She is currently at home in hopes the infection will not return.
Over the course of this month long recovery process, shayla has had 3 CT scans that are not covered under insurance, 9 overnight hospital stays, and 2 surgeries. On top of this, she has been completely out of work with no PTO left to spare and bills adding up very quickly. She is having such a hard time asking for money, however she is out of choices now as she faces some of the most expensive hospital visits.
Please share and send her your kind words. She needs it now more than ever.
