Help with Throat Cancer Recovery

My name's Chris and my Wife's is Karen. Anyone that knows us would know how hard it would be for us to ask for help, we just don't do it much, but my family could use a bit of help at this time, I'll explain below.

 

For Several years now my wife has had severe health issues with her heart and other things. She recently had a quadruple bypass and has just been cleared by the heart doctor for that. She now has to have Colon surgery to remove part of her colon because of severe diverticulitis. And will be out of commission for 6-7 weeks. She hasn't been able to work for years and is on disability for these issues.

 

Now my story and the reason for this fundraiser. On Jan 6th I was diagnosed with throat cancer. After several tests and such it has been determined that it is stage 4 and has spread to a nearby lymph node. I am going to have a PET scan soon and with any luck it hasn't spread further yet. They will be doing an aggressive treatment soon after I have some teeth issues taken care of. The treatment consists of a minimum of 7 weeks of daily radiation and chemo combined. The tumor is too large for surgery at this point that wouldn't leave debilitating injury.

 

I have apparently had this a while and my work has already suffered quite a bit because of it and now in this more advanced stage, it threatens how much, if any, that I can work or even continue to work during treatment.

 

It has been all we can do to pay bills, both personal and medical with my wife, Karen's condition and now with my issues, much worse insurance, and hard to work even now, I'm not sure how we are going to do much of anything fairly soon for several months. I really hate to ask but we need some help, both in the Prayers, Thoughts, Love and Light capacity and the more mundane financial needs as well.

 

PS would really be great if we can get to see the great grand babies for a few more years :)
