Help with Surgeries

Have you ever trained for a marathon and gotten so close to the finish line but just couldn't get there? Have you ever set a goal and no matter how hard you work, you just can't reach it? Have you ever wanted something so bad you stayed awake at night thinking about it?

We can all relate to the frustration of being so close, yet so far away!!!

Many of you know Lonnie and his journey, but for those of you that don't, let me catch you up. Lonnie has struggled with the demons of obesity his entire life. At the age of 35 he decided that it was time for a major change. He and his brother started on a weight loss journey that left all of us in tears cheering on their successes. So many days he was up at dawn or passed on going to dinner with friends because he needed to workout, he stopped drinking, stopped smoking, stopped eating the things he loved, learned to grow his own food and eat what his body needed instead of what he wanted. Lonnie transitioned into the man we all knew he could be and has surpassed all of our hopes for him.

Along the way he has had 6 surgeries and has accumulated a lifetime of debt.

Even though he is so close to the finish line in this marathon journey, he can't get there now. You see, his insurance company has decided they aren't covering anymore procedures. As you can imagine, someone who looses an entire person worth of weight has quite a bit of extra baggage in skin. Each surgery is very expensive, and requires a hefty amount upfront without insurance.

He is so close to being done with this race, and he needs our help to carry him across the finish line. We will be doing many fundraisers, but we know many are out of town and want to help.
