Help with Teri Lynn Benjamin's cremation expenses

In the early morning hours of Monday, April 5th, 2021, Teri Lynn Benjamin, the dear mother of Gary Merchant, and sister of Sue Hannah and Kim Caldeira, passed away. She is now at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

During Teri's dialysis treatment, her blood pressure had dropped dangerously low. Teri had to be MedEvac’d from Carlsbad NM to El Paso TX in January 2021. 
During the months in El Paso, Teri had been in several hospitals as well as a Rehabilitation Hospital.

Over the months I had been speaking with Teri and her medical teams. Just recently a cardiologist discovered Teri had Aortic Valve Stenosis which required heart surgery. Also, Teri had to be on a vasoconstricting drug to raise her blood pressure, but it was considered a very tentative life-support solution. Her medical team determined that given Teri’s medical fragility, a heart procedure would not provide any quality of life for her and she would not survive the surgery. A palliative doctor was called in.    

I, Kim, and Gary were at her bedside in the ICU. She was able to speak with us, but she was very weak. She was suffering and in such misery. She said she was tired and wanted to go. After much compassionate conferring with her medical and palliative team, the decision was made Easter Sunday to stop all life support and let her go. We were told it would only be a matter of hours. We were with her as she slipped into Heaven peacefully. 

Many who knew Teri over the years, and those who also cared for her, told us how funny she was. She WAS funny and had been all her life. She had an infectious very distinctive laugh! Teri will be so dearly missed. 

We are so grateful for the compassionate quality of care that Teri received while in The Hospitals of Providence, Memorial Campus, El Paso TX.
