Help with the Cost of Hudson's medical care

Hi, I am Melissa, Hudson's daughter. My brother William and I are starting this Gofund me for our dad to raise money for medical cost and a place to stay for our dad, Hudson after he leaves the hospital.

He had a heart transplant on 9/28/22 in Austin at Ascension Seton Medical Center after many years of dealing with a heart condition. In 2021 Hudson was care flighted to Austin from waco after suffering a major heart attack and at the time Dr's weren't sure if he would even survive but once he was stable enough they were able to implant a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) Thank God this was an option for him and kept him alive until recently when he was admitted to the hospital in Austin for an infection in his LVAD which was not going to allow him to survive much longer without a new heart! Within 3 days of him being in the hospital, I got a call that said they had a heart for him!!!! It was a miracle and perfect timing! I can't thank God enough and all of his friends and family for the prayers and love that has been shown to our dad. It's been a long emotional roller-coaster but he is here with us and I couldn't be more grateful!!

But here we are now needing help. His doctors are saying that he will have to live in Austin near the hospital for 4-6 weeks for biopsies and care for his new heart. We live 3.5 hours from the hospital so that's not an option. My dad has always helped me, my kiddos and family without thinking twice about it and that's just who he is. He has always been a giver and would do anything he could for anyone and I know he's a prideful man and has always been able to work hard and take care of his family but he has been out of work since 2020 lived off of his savings and sold just about all he has to keep going. This is an unexpected expense but I don't want him to have to worry about how he will be able to pay for a place to stay, dr appointments or food while he's trying to get better.

So if anyone is able to donate please do but if you can't, please pray. We are beyond thankful to all of you!!! I don't think we could have made it this far without all of your love and prayers. Thank you all so much!!
