Help with the road to recovery for Joe Cournoyer

On June 10th, 2020 Joe and his wife were cycling in one of the trail systems in Red Deer and when they were approaching  a corner they unexpectedly met with a pedestrian.  Joe attempted to avoid a collision an in doing so had an accident that has left him with serious injuries and a long road to recovery. Joe landed on his head during the incident and now has swelling at his spinal cord and the initial diagnosis has left him classified as a paraplegic. Joe is being treated in Calgary which is creating a financial strain with medical expenses, travel and food expenses and accommodations for his wife Debbie who is staying in a local RV park and travelling back and forth to the hospital to spend her days with him. This will be a very long road for Joe and his future prognosis is not yet known.

Joe and Debbie have 4 beautiful children who are also making the trip to see him when they can. One of the daughters (Amanda) has been collecting bottles and monetary donations to help them afford the trips to Calgary when they are able. This GoFundme has been set up to hopefully help lift some of the stress and strain and helping give them a little less to worry about for the time being. We realize with COVID that many people will not be able to help as they would like but any help at all that can be passed on will be appreciated more than you know.
