Help with ticket funds for Shelly Lucas

Hi,

I'm a parent of a bus rider on L32 and, following a traffic accident this morning, I would like to raise funds for our beloved bus driver, Shelly Lucas. While driving through the neighborhood this morning, the bus accidentally hit a parked car on the side of the street, while trying to avoid a construction zone. No one was harmed, fortunately, but I can imagine the stress as a driver who is responsible for a bus full of students!

Not only has she navigated the COVID protocols, behavior issues, and general duties on the bus this school year, she has kept our little ones safe. The construction in Highlands 460 makes it difficult for any of us to maneuver through the streets, yet alone a huge bus. I confirmed with the Director of Transportation and Shelly is solely responsible for the ticket and what I assume are insurance consequences. Let's pull together and help provide a cushion to show our continued support for a job that is often underestimated and underappreciated! All donations will go directly to Shelly!!
