Help with Tim and Karen Bowers Medical Bills

Dear friends,

 

In October 2021, Tim Bowers was diagnosed with Prostate cancer, and he just started radiation treatment this month.

On top of that --

last week, Karen received news that she has grade 2 Breast Cancer in her left breast.

She has to undergo several more diagnostic tests to determine and verify what type of treatments will be effective for her type of cancer. They also need to know if the cells are contained or have spread elsewhere in her body before they can begin treatment.

Karen is scheduled for a breast MRI tomorrow, Jan.25, but her insurance company denied coverage for this test.

 

She will have to pay the entire 8k out of pocket before doing the imaging. And since this is time-sensitive she has to get it done now. Karen will appeal to the insurance company, but they could take months to decide.

 

Additionally, she and Tim are still waiting for insurance to agree to pay for Tim's necessary pre-radiation procedure he had in December, which came to 20k. So far, the insurance company hasn't decided on that claim.

 

We would be grateful for any money you could spare to help them financially as they will have a lot more medical bills over the next 12 months.
