Help with vet bills for cami our cat who was shot

To say I’m fuming is an understatement my beautiful cat cami who is only 1&half was missing for 3 days it wasn’t like her she is an indoor/outdoor cat she never stays out for too long and never goes too far we wore obviously very worried when we didn’t see her for days we feared the worse maybe she got run over or something we still had hope she might eventually come home but yesterday evening I was calling her out the back to see if by some chance she would hear me and come back she never did so I just waited and about 15 minutes later she came up the back looking so fragile and sick she was dragging her body and couldn’t walk we fed her and gave her water and drove her straight to the vet initially we all thought she was run over and broke her leg but that wasn’t the case her X-rays showed metal fragments (white spots in photos)spread out throughout her bottom half the biggest one is pressing on her spine and causing her to be paralysed and unable to urinate the vet has said the cause of all this was that she was shot with a pellet or BB gun by some Evil bastard like who would even think to hurt an innocent defenceless animal I will find out who done it to her and you will be sorry mark my words anyone who knows me personally knows I love my animals to death I treat them like my babies and to think she was suffering in pain for 3 days before she finally built up the energy to drag her self back makes my heart break she has been getting the best treatment in the vet since yesterday she will be going for surgery to remove the metal pieces from her and we are all hoping that she will make a full recovery but it’s to soon to tell we don’t know if our cat will be permanently paralysed from this or worse have to be put to sleep she is so young and was a perfectly happy and healthy cat before this and loves playing with her 2 kittens we kept from when she had her first litter of 4 in may she is such a sweetheart and it makes me so angry she has been put through all this for absolutely no reason it takes a certain type of sadistic scumbag to do that to an animal I’m putting this up to urge any people with dogs or especially cats that wander around try keep them in as much as you can i don’t want this happening to another animal it’s terrible to say a cat can’t even go out and explore around it’s own home without getting tortured and shot if you live in the crumlin area be extra cautious I just hope we have our baby cami home soon and that she won’t have permanent damage from this thanks to animal welfare veterinary clinic in Charlemont street for taking such good care of her
