Mount Vernon: Do it For the Moms!

Mount Vernon Community, we are Woodlawn Little League. We've been a part of the community since the 1960s, and now we are coming to you for help. It's 2023. We are trying to get real flush toilets, and hand-washing sinks, a water fountain, and a room to plug in some refrigerators so we can properly sell concessions. We want to be fancy like the little leagues in other parts of the county who have plumbing and clean hands.

For years, families at McNaughton Fields on Pole Road, home to our Little League, have had the use of one of two port-a-potties for bio breaks. And there are no sinks to wash hands. And we want to tell you, there is no guilt greater than the guilt we feel when a Mom has to use a port-a-potty that has been sitting out in the hot sun and abused by 100 little leaguers. Would you want your Mom to use a port-a-potty that has been used by a lot of little league players, and then not be able to properly wash her hands? Moms deserve flush toilets and soap.

The county says that to build us fancy flush toilets and sinks we need to raise $200,000. We've raised about $150,000 so far. We are **so close** and we need your help to get to the total!
