The Milkweed Mercantile at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage needs your help !
Privately run since its beginning, The Milkweed Mercantile is now being reimagined as a worker-owned cooperative business with the original founders, Alline Anderson and Kurt Kessner.
For six years, we've been serving our local community with warm smiles, cool drinks, wonderful food, and beautiful Inn accommodations. What's really amazing is that we've been demonstrating that we can do it well, while caring for the environment, and each other.
Now we're taking the next BIG STEP by transitioning to a worker-owned cooperative, and we need YOUR HELP! Together, we can build a more caring, cooperative world.
With the additional energy and expertise of a ten-member strong board of directors, the Mercantile is an already transforming business, with additional service offerings and extended service hours. We have a growing focus and capacity for workshop development, marketing, as well as the introduction of improved financial controls. The new Milkweed Mercantile at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage cooperative is poised to continue to be one of the main drivers of a vibrant, sustainable economy in the region, and beyond!
Please donate what you can to help us transform this business into an even greater example of personal, social, and environmental sustainability!
