KEEP OUR KIDS DREAMS ALIVE - ASKAR REFUGEE CAMP

More than eighteen thousand citizens from Gaza were working in Israel when, unbeknownst to them, war broke out. They were then deported and expelled with their families to the cities of the West Bank and many of them arrived in the city of Nablus. Many of them were injured and unwell, seeking treatment. To compound their ill-fate, they are now stranded and cannot find shelter nor anyone to provide them with the basic daily requirements of life, such as food and clothing. Large numbers of these families are now in hotels and others are in the schools which have opened their doors to them.

There is a strong desire form the residents of the West Bank to provide assistance. Yet as you know, these people are in great difficulty themselves, suffering from poor social and economic conditions, preceding the start of the current war.

Besides that, there is also fear on their part of an escalation of events and the imminent spread of war to the West Bank. Therefore, the people from Gaza desperately need their basic needs of food, water, and clothing to be met somehow. With their inability to return to Gaza now, they will be forced to remain in the West Bank for a period which could potentially reach months, or more. With no job opportunities, their situation requires immediate assistance.

We are appealing to anyone who is financially fortunate enough and has the heartfelt desire to help others less fortunate. We have much to be thankful for and we must think of those who need our support now more than ever. UPDATE: For transparency, we want to inform donors that we have changed the recipient of the funds, as the original recipient has left Nablus. The new recipient will be in Nablus in order to distribute the funds through Askar Association to the correct beneficiaries, that is the Gaza citizens currently displaced to Nablus. Thank you.
