Help Wetzel County WV Flood Victims
Donation protected
On Friday night, July 28, a wall of water tore through several small communities in Wetzel County, WV. This is where I am from and where many of my relatives still live. The people of Pine Grove had been without sewer and water for 60 days prior to this disaster due to failure and needed repair of their treatment plant. Nobody has clean water other than bottled water and there is no functioning sewer system right now.
This happened in the night so people got out with only their lives in many cases.
The needs are many. Personal hygene products, diapers, clothing, and most everything you can imagine.
The high school at Hundred lost their ball field and sports uniforms. Businesses are totally wrecked.
The situation is dire. The state, FEMA and Red Cross are arriving but people are hurting now.
These are proud, hardworking folks and they need us.
Please help as you can. I will be forwarding all funds to the proper places.
Thank you from my heart.
