Help Wyatt Hess Study Abroad in Japan For a Better Education
Donation protected
My name is Wyatt Hess. I am a high school student in Florida, a hardworking International Baccalaureate (IB) student, and a percussionist in my band.
I am trying to raise funding so I may pursue an abroad studying opportunity in Kyoto, Japan so that I may be able to one day get my college degree there. The tuition itself is $7,950, but I am working to get most of it. I take my education very seriously and I care a lot about this opportunity. I've applied for scholarships, worked odd jobs, and tried to work a real job, all while juggling school. Through this abroad studying, I will learn and immerse myself in Japanese culture and language. Japan is a culture I have found interest in for quite some time. I even own my own traditional Japanese instrument called the Shamisen. Everyone around me has these goals they set way below the bar that they want and never actually chase them. Not me. I want to go to the top, make something of myself in this world, provide for my family, and get a good education. My school isn't very wealthy and neither am I, so the opportunity to just up and do all of this is just barely out of my reach funding-wise, which is why I am doing this. I have one year to get the money I need, one year to gather enough funding to make it over to Japan and get myself an educational opportunity that will forever change my future and set me straight on my path to college.
How the funding is being used
1. Above all else tuition
2. A place to stay
3. Food and meals
4. Educational appliances (books, paper, pencils)
5. Transportation
Thank you to all my supporters, friends, family, and teachers for inspiring me to work for this goal.
