Help Wyatt to walk

Hi, My name is Lauri Ruiz, and this is Wyatt's story.
My son Mike and his girlfriend Jessy decided their dog Remy needed a brother. Being the animal lovers that they are, they looked into adoption and fell in love with a three-month-old Cane Corso/Mastiff/Pit Bull mix named Wyatt. This lovable pup had gone through 3 fosters due to nerve damage in his back end and needing special care with diapers and constant cleaning. Knowing this in advance and knowing they were his last chance, they adopted him (diapers and all). The only other thing they were told was that he walked a little funny but didn't seem to be in any pain. That was until he turned six months old; at that time, he started losing the ability to stand for very long and could not walk normally. He struggled taking steps and would need to bunny-hop to get around.
They took him to Thera-vet Acres for a consult and started laser therapy and hydro-treadmill therapy to help correct his gait and to help with the pain and inflammation in his knees. Though it seemed to help for a while, he was still steadily declining. The clinic suspected luxating patellas (his knees move in and out of place) but referred them to an orthopedic surgeon to confirm. The surgeon described Wyatt as a "nightmare situation" and said his knees are "on completely different continents." She said that his condition is very severe, and without surgery, he is highly likely to tear the ligaments in his legs. His surgery is estimated between $10,000 to $12,000, and he will need two weeks of boarding and therapy post-surgery.
They are doing everything they can to help him now, including fitting him for a wheelchair, using a help-me-up harness to get him in and out of the car and house, building him a ramp to the house, and continuing with therapy once a week. He is currently on pain and anti-inflammatory meds to help with his daily struggle, but surgery will eliminate his pain and give him a better quality of life.
Please help them to give him the best life possible. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
