Help Yale Jiggawattz Compete @ State Championship
Donation protected
We are beyond excited to head for the 2022 Michigan State Championship this week!!!!!!!
But...we need your help!
The Yale High Robotics Club, aka Yale Jiggawattz F.R.C. Team 6344, is amongst 160 teams that will compete at Saginaw Valley State University for the chance to progress to the World Championship in Houston, TX.
Students involved in the FIRST Robotics Competition learn so much more than people think. From technical skills to life skills, founder Dean Kamen describes it best:
"We're not using kids to build robots; we're using robots to build kids."
Why we need your help: We cannot completely deplete our account. Otherwise, we won't have enough funds to carry the team into the fall (or even the World Championship if we qualify).
So, we humbly ask for any help you can give. Even $5 or $10 will provide funds for food!
For transparency, below is the cost of attending just the State Championship:
Event registration fees: $4,000
Hotel rooms: $3,300 (three days - 28 students and mentors)
Food: $1500 (lunches, dinners, and snacks - Free breakfast at the hotel!)
If you cannot help financially, please share this with anyone you know who might be able to.
IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS...your donation will be recognized in as many places as possible (based on advertising deadlines). Areas can/may include: on our social media, website, posters, banners, shirts, etc.
Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance! <3
Fun Fact: Our team' theme' is based on the movie Back To The Future, hence the Doc Brown wigs!
