THE BACKSTORY —

Please call me "YB" I am an autistic nonbinary black artist based in Philadelphia. Over the past year, I've experienced one of the most traumatizing periods in my life in the last few years, primarily due to being continually displaced, as well as inconsistent employment. I've had uproot my life and relocate approximately five times, awhile hoping I'd finally find a place to call home. This however was sadly not the case

THE CURRENT DILEMMA —

My cat and I have been homeless since Aug 2023 and I have struggled to find a place to call home for in the last several years, my entire adult life. I've not even been able to scrape by while working for multiple temporary staffing agencies, freelancing and any/all types of gig work.

With this GoFundMe I am hoping to raise enough for a security deposit to rent a room. As a neurodivergent adult with no family/ safety net. I'm aware that achieving this goal, alone, will pose a significant challenge especially for someone in my circumstances.

ALLOCATION OF DONATIONS —

All funds accumulated will be put towards a security deposit, one month's rent, share of utilities and moving costs. Excess funds will go to my monthly expenses (i.e. rent).
