Help Yana Davis secure safe housing!

My name is Yana Davis and I am a non binary black disabled poet. Due to the current pandemic I am both unemployed and homeless. I have applied and am ineligible for unemployment. For my mental health and financial reasons I have also chosen to take off a year from school. I live in one of the most expensive states in the country and rent can be anywhere from 1500-3000$ for a small studio apartment. I do not want to move out of my city or state because I really need the emotional support of my family. I am hoping to raise funds for a year’s worth of housing, moving expenses, living expenses i.e. food, toiletries, health care and care for my ESA. The funds raised will help me move into our my housing and have stability and safety during this global pandemic.

With stable housing of my own I will begin applying for writing fellowships and seek employment. I will also begin working on self publishing my very first book of poetry. My mental health is currently at its worst during this pandemic and the genocide of Black Americans. I am hoping to have my own space for healing. Sharing or donating will help me to live beyond just surviving and I am so grateful for either action!
