Help Artist Yandell Walton Rebuild After Devastating Theft
Donation protected
Yandell Walton has always believed in the power of art—not just as an independent artist but as a way to uplift and inspire others in her community. Through her work, she has built a career and given back to the community, running workshops and sharing skills with those who wouldn’t otherwise have access to the arts.

But recently, she suffered a devastating loss. Her Collingwood studio was burgled, and essential equipment and personal items were stolen to the value of $22,000—including cameras, lenses, a sound recorder, headphones, Mac Mini computers, sensors, an iPad Pro, studio lighting and much more. To make matters worse, she had no insurance, as the cost was simply too high for an independent artist. Now, she’s lost the tools needed to create and facilitate upcoming workshops and community programs.
Yandell has used her art for years to unite and educate communities, teach new skills, and make creativity accessible. Now, she needs our help to rebuild.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward replacing some of the essential the stolen equipment so she can get back to creating including a SLR Camera, Lens, Tripod, sound recorder and headphones. These tools are not just materials; they are integral to her ability to develop, present and document work—especially as she prepares for upcoming exhibitions and residencies, including an environmental-focused project in Wollemi National Park. If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign helps more than you know.
Let’s show Yandell that her generosity and creativity haven’t gone unnoticed—and that we stand with her in this difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and support!
