Help Yanelis' Parents Rebuild After Hurricanes

Hi there, my name is Yanelis. I live in Tampa, Florida, where we just got hit by two major hurricanes within just weeks of each other. Many of my friends and family were hit hard, including my parents. I decided to start a GoFundMe for them because they won’t ever ask for help even when they need it.

As a lot of you know, my mom has been running her home daycare business at her house. Due to the hurricane, she lost everything for the daycare, and it will be months before she can be up and running it again. Additionally, they have to repair walls, kitchen/bathroom cabinets, replace appliances, and all their furniture.

I am asking our friends and family to help in any way they can—whether with a small donation or just sharing. Many who know my dad know that he is a man who gives and gives and never asks—he would probably be upset if he knew I am even doing a GoFundMe, but I can’t just sit back and do nothing and feel helpless. They don’t have flood insurance because in all the years they lived there, they have never gotten flooded like this; therefore, a lot of this is going to have to come out of pocket.
