Support Yannifer's medical transition

I'd be very grateful if you could donate to help me with my medical transition.

Being able to be honest (with myself and with the world!) about my gender as a transgender woman has been one of the most affirming and amazing experiences I have ever gone through, but pronouns, clothes, makeup and a can-do attitude can only take you so far...

...Medically speaking, I am still near the start of this journey and it's scary to think about how much time or money it takes!

Currently I am 6 months into HRT after an amazing person volunteered to help me set up with HRT and a private provider whilst being stuck at the bottom of a 5 year (if lucky) NHS waiting list.

5 years of constant dysphoria and never quite feeling good enough was hard to face so I am tremendously grateful to have had this support.

Dysphoria isn't something you can 'tough out' or wish away. It affects my mental health daily - sometimes I want to just hide from the world. And the feeling can be so much worse when you know you could be getting treatment but are arbitrarily stalled.

I face ongoing prescription costs and am saving for Laser Hair Removal for facial hair, and Voice Therapy to help me tackle major aspects of my dysphoria. But each comes with a big cost.

I have been slowly trying to save up to cover these costs, and others down the line, but it's a monumental task.

I work full time as a Lib Dem Campaign Organiser. It's a job I love and I have a wonderful team around me, but grassroots politics isn't Westminster, it only pays so much.
