Help Yara and Her Family Rebuild Their Lives

Hello, my name is Yara Al-Sabaa, and I am 15 years old.

I have four brothers: Ali, Abdullah, Omar, and Hassan. Our lives were peaceful in our home in the northern Gaza Strip until October 7th, when everything changed.

We were preparing to go to school when a loud and frightening sound shook our world. Our house was bombed, and in an instant, our dreams and memories were destroyed.

Our home, the place we built with love, was reduced to rubble.

We still remember every room, every corner, but now we find ourselves displaced to the south of the Gaza Strip, living in tents devoid of any signs of life or basic services. There is no food, and the water is neither sufficient nor safe. Epidemics and diseases are rampant.

I contracted hepatitis, and my condition became critical due to the lack of treatment here. My brother Hassan suffered from gastroenteritis and spent a week in the hospital without receiving adequate care. Doesn’t he at least deserve the right to be treated like other children? Don’t we have the right to feel safe, to live in our home and not in tents where we suffer?

We are asking for your help to live with dignity and safety outside Gaza.

We cannot continue living under these dire conditions. We long to regain our education, our smiles, and our lives. The goal of this campaign is to raise $20,000 to help us cross the border and travel to Egypt once it is opened.
