Help Yasmin beat Ovarian Cancer

We are fundraising to help Yasmin and her family pay for cancer treatments not covered by insurance. In 2017 Yasmin was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer rare form. In 2018 she had 2 surgeries which included an ostomy and a full hysterectomy. She has spent months trying to receive chemotherapy but her body has difficulty tolerating the full treatments. Yasmin is a fighter and continues to preserve.  Some may remember Yasmin from her days as a Baltimore City School Teacher where she was affectionately referred to as Ms. El.  Yasmin had completed her Red Cross volunteer training and only got to volunteer once before her diagnosis.  Yasmin is a loving daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, wife spirited community advocate.   She has started a regime that involves some combined homeopathic treatments not covered by insurance. Additionally, the continued cost of ongoing treatment has caused financial hardship. We are now asking for help so that she may see her granddaughter graduate from high school.

These funds will primarily pay for her treatment, attendant cost, and financial responsibilities incurred during her fight with this cancer.
