Help Yasmin get her family out of Gaza
Donation protected
Yasmin and her family have been displaced multiple times over the past six months; with her sister needing urgent medical care and perhaps chemotherapy, and several young children in the family, she is trying to raise funds to evacuate at least some of her family for the time being. Yasmin is a both a member of Gaza Sky Geeks and a graduate of their Code Academy program. See below for some photographs and a message from her:

From Yasmin herself:
We are a family of 10 from Gaza. My first two brothers are married. Mohammed, my older brother, has 5 kids. And Basil, my other older brother, has 5 kids. We first left Gaza and stayed in Nusairat camp in the South. We suffered from a severe lack of food there. Even drinking water, if available, was polluted and caused us many health issues. We had to flee Nusairat to Khan Younis when Nusairat became not safe anymore. In Khan Younis, we did not have enough clothes, mattresses or blankets. It was December then and now cold weather became another challenge. A month later, Khan Younis became very dangerous to stay in. But this time we had to flee to Rafah, barely holding any of our belongings. There was a checkpoint and the IDF had us pass holding only ID cards. This time we went to Rafah having nothing more the clothes we were wearing. We left our money, and all other belongings in Khan Younis. We are currently in Rafah and need to be evacuated to safety. I have a sister who had a Unilateral thyroid lobectomy surgery in March, 2023 and now her doctors insist that she should do a type of medical examination to make sure the place around the thyroid does not have any traces of the tumor. On the basis of this test, they will determine if the tumor is benign, she should have medical care. If not, she should start chemo. This test is done outside Gaza even before war. Her name was listed by ministry of health on evacuation lists twice in October and in November. But due to lack of electricity and internet connection then, we did not know about her evacuation. She applied for evacuation now two months ago but her name is not listed. My sister is a priority to me. I want her to be evacuated very soon because her case is very time sensitive. I want to list her name through Hala company as long as the ministry's lists don't have her name.
