Give Yasser and His Children a Chance to Build a New Life

Donation protected

Yasser Qudaih is a Pulitzer Prize and Lucie Social Impact Award-winning photographer from the Gaza Strip. He has worked as a photojournalist there for nearly 20 years, documenting the beauty of nature and everyday life within the city.
(Follow yasser.pix84 on Instagram for more of his work).

Living in Gaza, Yasser and his family enjoyed spending time outdoors, going to the beach, swimming, playing sports, and building a loving home with a beautiful garden and a very recently renovated kitchen, designed by Yasser's incredibly talented wife.

He never imagined he'd end up documenting atrocity after atrocity committed against the Palestinian people.

Not long after the start of the genocide, death began stalking Yasser and his family; he lost his home and several family members, including young children, in the relentless bombings. What was once an idyllic home filled with happiness and love and joyous memories was reduced to literal rubble.

Although Yasser and his family were able to escape to Egypt, they were only able to bring with them what they could carry. They left everything behind in order to escape death, but now they have no assistance, no help to survive.

They desperately need funds to be able to afford basic living necessities, including food, water, shelter, clothing, etc. Yasser and his family are also trying to access any community resources that may be available to them in Egypt.

Living in exile is especially difficult for Yasser's young children. Once very active in a prestigious sports club, his sons now just stay at home bored, because they have nowhere to go, and no friends to play with. Days spent swimming and playing at the beach in Gaza have been replaced by utter monotony due to the lack of any assistance whatsoever for Yasser and his family.

Please help Yasser and his family. Please help them navigate this new life outside of everything they've ever known. Donate any amount you can to help them survive. We are all they have.

**100% of all funds raised will go directly to Yasser and his family via wire transfer. **

I'm Laura, and I originally created this fundraising campaign to help Yasser raise the amount needed to evacuate his family from Gaza to safety. Now that they have evacuated to Egypt, they are in dire need of assistance in order to survive in exile. There are no programs set up to help them, so they are relying on the generosity of strangers to help them through this incredibly difficult time.

Yasser and his family have been through so much, and we have the chance to make things a little easier for them. Let's help them out.

Below are some painful photos taken after the loss of Yasser's home and several family members. They have suffered unimaginable loss and heartbreak.
