Help Yemin on his road to recovery

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with a heavy heart I write to tell you that on August 20th, whilst in Malaga, Spain, my son Yemin was tragically struck by a car. The severity of his injuries required him to be urgently airlifted to hospital. With a traumatic brain injury, a broken arm, and a significant hip injury, he was immediately taken into surgery to address a life-threatening blood clot on his brain.

Thankfully, he made it through the surgery but remains in a coma in a critical condition in the ICU at the hospital. We remain positive and hopeful Yemin will pull through, and go on to having a normal life and continue his career as a Chartered Accountant.

The swelling in his brain shows signs of receding, and he has shown some response to our voices. However, he has a long and uncertain journey ahead, he hasn't opened his eyes yet, and we're anxiously waiting for that pivotal moment when the neurological connections between his brain and body are fully established.

At 24, Yemin is the heartbeat of our family. A dedicated son, brother, nephew, friend and Man United supporter; his sense of humour, generosity, ambition and hardworking nature have touched all those who are close to him. Only recently he achieved a remarkable professional milestone by becoming a Chartered Global Management Accountant. We are so proud of him!

We humbly seek your support in raising funds to assist in providing Yemin with essential medical care in Spain and assistance in bringing him back to the UK where he can be with his loved ones when it is safe to do so.

We have been moved by all the prayers, messages and well wishes we have received from the community during this heartbreaking and challenging time.
