Yerobaol Healt Center was established in 1979 as the only health center serving 55 communities in Wuli West District of the Upper River Region of The Gambia. The health center serves primary and emergency health care needs of over 100,000 people of which over 60,000 people resides in the Nyakoi area of Wulli West. This campaign aims to resolve the emergency lack of water, electricity, and basic medical and diagnostic instruments at the Yerobaol Health Center. Families must find and bring water to be used by the health center staff to care for admitted loved ones, including new mothers and just delivered babies. The lack of water and necessities are causing massive deficits in care, a surge in hospital-acquired infections, and very high rates of premature deaths.
The health committee of the Nyakoi Kangbeng Kafo is organizing this fundraising campaign to find a permanent solution for Yerobaol health center. Your generous contribution towards funding a functional running water installation, electricity and basic amenities at Yerobaol health center is highly appreciated. Thank you for your donation, and for sharing this campaign with your network.
