Help Yesia and Yesenia Heal After Tragic Accident

Mi cuñada Yesenia Gabino Hernandez y mi sobrina Yesia Crystal De Jesus Gabino, estuvieron envueltas en un aparatoso accidente de tránsito en el condado de Montgomery, Alabama el viernes 2 de agosto de 2024. Mientras Yesia manejaba hacia su casa, un conductor distraido las impactó de frente causando que Yesia quedara atrapada en el carro y a causa de esto sufrió roturas en ambas piernas las cuales requirieron cirugía y una larga estancia en el hospital. Yesia tiene un largo camino por recorrer para recuperarse lo cual incluye muchas visitas al doctor y hospital, costosos medicamentos y terapias física y ocupacional. En estos momentos Yesia no tiene seguro médico lo cual le hace imposible cubrir los gastos de tratamiento para lograr una total recuperación.

Yesenia, la cual estaba de vacaciones visitando a sus hijas, sufrió fracturas en ambos brazos las cuales le hace imposible ayudar a Ashley a levantar o cuidar a Yesia, manejar o hacer ninguna fuerza para ayudar físicamente a sus hijas. Yesenia, al igual que su hija, no tiene seguro médico en Alabama y debido a su condición física tampoco podrá regresar a Puerto Rico por un tiempo.

Solicitamos cualquier ayuda para cubrir gastos médicos, preparar la casa para ser accesible a una silla de rueda y para ayudar con las muchas terapias y tratamientos que Yesia y Yesenia van a necesitar para lograr su recuperación.

My sister-in-law Yesenia Gabino Hernandez, and my niece Yesia Crystal De Jesus Gabino, were involved in a terrible car accident in Montgomery, Alabama on Friday, August 2nd, 2024. While Yesia was driving home, a distracted driver hit them head on. Yesia was trapped in the car, causing several injuries and broken legs, requiring surgery and a long hospital stay. Yesia has a long way to go for recovery, including several visits to the doctor and hospital, expensive medication, as well as physical and occupational therapy. At this time, Yesia does not have health insurance, making it impossible to afford the treatment that she needs in order to recover.

Yesenia, who was on vacation visiting her daughters, suffered fractures on both of her arms, making it impossible for her to help her daughter Ashley, to carry or care for her daughter Yesia, drive or use her strength in any way to help her daughters. Yesenia, as well as her daughter, does not have health insurance in Alabama and due to her condition is unable to return to Puerto Rico for a long while.

We ask for any help to cover the medical expenses, to prepare their house to be wheelchair accessible and to help with the many treatments and therapy that Yesia and Yesenia are going to need in order to recover.
