Help Yobany's family through his deportation

Donation protected
On Monday, July 15, 2019, as was seen widely on social media  and in the news, Yobany was detained by officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in South Minneapolis. Three unmarked vehicles surrounded Yobany in his car on his way to work. ICE agents in tan vests with no identifying markers that observers could see screamed at Yobany, degrading and humiliating him by calling him names as they yelled at him to "get the f*** out" of his car. Minutes later, the ICE agents broke the back window of his car to unlock the doors and drag him out. Yobany was taken into custody by ICE to be deported to El Salvador.

Yobany is a caring, devoted father of two children. He is the primary provider for his wife and children and was cruelly taken from his family on his way to work early on a Monday morning. Yobany has been a supporter of immigrant rights for the past decade, and we hope you can help us support his family.

MIRAC is asking for donations to raise money to help Yobany's family through this very difficult time. All money raised will go to the Yobany's family, to help fix the broken car window, cover some of the family's basic expenses, and send Yobany's things to him in El Salvador.
