Help Yoda Walk Again: Surgery Needed

Hi, my name is Yoda. I'm one of 4 rescues who loves my mom very much. I am an 8-year-old Saint Bernard-Pyrenees mix who loves children and tasty treats ☺️. I love to get hugs and go on long walks.

When I came to my mom, I was one of six in a litter that was neglected and abandoned. My mom has spent over two decades saving big guys like me, but now she, too, needs saving. Coupled with her own very serious health complications, she has strived to keep all of us healthy and happy. Recently, she took me to our veterinarian at The Pet Space, who told her that I have an ACL issue in my left leg. She has been giving me medically prescribed arthritis and pain meds, but it's at a point now where I will need surgery to repair the damage. The vet told my mom that I will have to see a specialist that charges a $200 consultation fee, with surgery for a big guy like me being roughly $5-6k.

Now my mom, who's been T-boned in two motor vehicle accidents in the last two years, is struggling to come up with funds to get the medically necessary surgery I need. Despite her own serious health problems, she takes care of me and my three rescue brothers. She loves us all very much and has been my mom since my gotcha day back in June 2016.

I am turning 9 this year, and she wants to give me the best life she's been giving all of us our entire lives. I would need the surgery at Capital Animal Hospital, with whom she's scheduling her consult this coming week. The sooner I can get my leg fixed, the faster I can go back on walks and play with my brothers. Any donation is truly appreciated, and my mom would be grateful as we are one of the reasons for which she is grateful to be alive today.
