Help Yoga Corvallis During Covid Limitations
Donation protected

Take it from me, a former small business, yoga studio, owner.
On January 7, Yoga Corvallis celebrated our 19th birthday. For nearly two decades we have been a place for people to come take care of themselves mentally and physically, to find their peace and their strength, and to simply feel better.
2020 threw curveballs at us all that no one could have anticipated, and we’ve worked hard to adapt and continue to offer this space and instruction to support people in pursuit of health and wellbeing. Above all else, we believe in keeping our community safe and healthy, so we’ve closed as necessary and implemented rigorously-researched protocols to keep folks safe while joining us in person.
So far, we’ve been closed for nearly four months, and reopening while minimizing risk of covid exposure has severely limited our capacity. Our expenses continue to accrue while our ability to support ourselves has been stifled. Opportunities for small business funding, rent relief, utility credit, and other lifelines remain limited and do not meet the need created by this public health crisis.
At various times in the last year, we have been asked to close our doors to help the community control the spread of covid. While we’ve done our best to ride it out, we’ve reached a point where we have to ask the community for support to help us weather the storm so we can continue to be here sweating with you when conditions allow.
