Support Yolanda’s Cancer Journey

Hi! I'm Cartier. On January 18, 2023 I found out that my godmother (Yolanda) has breast cancer. It was a shock to everyone because she has always practiced healthy eating and exercise habits, and has been diligent about getting mammograms for years. The DCIS cancer she was diagnosed with is in its early stages and, with surgical removal, won't require chemotherapy or radiation for treatment.

She's scheduled to have a double mastectomy on March 10, 2023. Then will need reconstructive surgery later this year when her body can endure the procedure. Both surgeries combined will require 16 weeks for recovery. Throughout that nearly 4 month time period she will not be able to work. All donations will be used to offset medical expenses and living expenses during recovery.

She is a loving and compassionate sister, daughter, mother, and grandmother. Her friends describe her as "an uplifting spirit" and "a joy to be around." Always a light. Her strength and courage have truly shone through as she's facing this head-on and wearing a brave face. Lifting some of the weight of the financial burden this has caused will make a huge difference.
