Support Dr. Oday to continue volunteering in the hospitals of Gaza, and travel to follow his dream specialization in the UK.

Oday Al Zayyan is a 27-year-old doctor from Gaza, who is a Palestinian refugee in origin. Oday has been volunteering in the emergency and surgical departments of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, the main and only hospital in the central Gaza region, for over 250 days. Despite living in indescribable conditions and his family being displaced from their home in Gaza, Oday has not stopped volunteering and attending the hospital, providing vital service to patients in need.

Oday told me about his severe despair and sadness because he might have to stop providing his free service and search for paid work, whether in the medical field or elsewhere, to support himself and his family and to follow his dreams.

Before the war, Oday wanted to complete his specialization in the UK. He was preparing to pass the OET exam and saved up some money to travel to the UK. However, his savings were spent during the past five months due to a lack of income and the high cost of living during the war in Gaza.

We genuinely appreciate any donation, no matter how small, as it will significantly impact Oday’s current situation in Gaza. Let’s help Oday continue providing vital medical service to the people of Gaza, support his family financially, and achieve his dream of completing his medical specialization after the war ends.
