Help Young Mom of 2 Fight Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Maritza and I am here to tell my sister, Ana's story. Ana, who is a young mom, at only 36 years old was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2021. It started with one lump, then became two lumps, and moved to a lymph node.

Ana is a stay-at-home mom, who cares for her two children with the eldest being 12 and the youngest being 10. She has been a SAHM for 10 years due to her youngest being diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. My sister, Ana has always put her family's needs before her own. This sudden diagnosis has hurt them both emotionally and financially. Her husband is the only provider of the family.

With her diagnosis, she has undergone many medical scans and procedures making her medical bills add up to high quantities in such a short time. She had surgery to remove her lumps in March 2022. Recently, she began chemotherapy and was hospitalized due to a fistula. From the fistula forming, it created an infection and her white blood count went low. Now she is faced with fighting off the infection, causing her to postpone her chemotherapy sessions.

With all of this happening so quickly, the medical bills are more than she and her family can afford.
