**Trigger Warning for Domestic Violence**

We are raising money to help a dear friend escape a dangerous situation. She is a young mother of two disabled children.

For 2 years she has been surviving in a marriage which has now become unsafe, her husband's anger issues have gotten worse and is now hurting the kids.

He refuses to leave the house, and even if he did, this mother currently has no income after years of unpaid care work. He is taking the carer's allowance she receives for their children, and she is scared that should she get her own job, he will take this money too.

She has reached out to Centrelink, but was told she is ineligible for any payments while living with him. She has no family in her city to lean on. We are seeking to raise funds to facilitate the safe relocation of the family, namely funds for bond, first month rent, basic furniture, and financial support to support the kid's disability needs.

If you have any money to spare to help her leave this situation, please consider donating to this cause. For safety reasons, we cannot identify either party. We understand the holidays have drained a lot of people's bank accounts, so please only give what/if you are able.

We are also engaging with other support services to attempt to maintain the safety and well-being of our friend and her children. We also ask that you maintain the confidentiality of those involved, as a matter of utmost safety.
