Help Yousef's Family Recover and Rebuild

Hello everyone - this is for my friend Yousef, he is an Emergency Room RN seeking donations to rebuild his family home. His story is below.

 

My name is Yousef Mahani. I’m 31 years old, married, and the father of two beautiful twin girls. I work as an emergency room nurse at the Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza City.

 

We’re a young family, just starting out together. My wife and I married five years ago, and my girls are two years old. Before the war, we lived a simple life in our beautiful home. Like any young father, my dreams were preoccupied with my girls.

 

This war turned our lives upside down.

 

In November of last year, it became too dangerous for us to stay in the north. Personally, I couldn’t accept the idea of leaving my patients behind. So my wife and I made the difficult decision to split our family up. I stayed in Gaza City to continue working at the hospital. And my wife fled with our daughters and extended family to the south, where we were promised safety. That promise, of course, was empty, because death is everywhere in Gaza.

 

I have been working for 10 months now without a salary, and life is becoming hard financially for my family. To make things worse, in June my house was bombed, along with my parents’ house. My wife, children, and relatives have shown incredible patience sheltering in crowded conditions in Deir El Belah. And now they have no home to return to.

 

I hope you can help me in rebuilding our hope and happiness and rebuilding our home.

 

We will use your donations to cover basic living expenses - food, hygiene products, medicine, clothes, and transport. And to rebuild our home, little by little.
