Youssef is diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which is a rare disease that causes weakness in bone tissue and the heart, causing bone deformities and curvature of the vertebral column.

Eleven surgical operations were performed and several auxiliary medical devices were installed, along with many examinations and many x-rays. Three moths before the war, a precise and dangerous surgery was performed in Jerusalem on the vertebral column, on the 22/11/2023 Yousef was supposed to follow up on the results of the operations .

Due to the war, he’s not allowed to enter Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, hospitals in Gaza refused to receive the case due to the current situation in the hospitals and the lack of specialists in his case.

Youssef’s health condition is unstable and the results of the operation are not clear. Rather, his health condition has deteriorated, Youssef needs to travel for medical treatment outside Gaza. To follow up on the results of the operation and complete other operations, he needs to cover his travel expenses and his family travel expenses ,money for a decent accommodation, and the costs of medical treatments and operations. He would accompany his family because their house was bombed and they became homeless.
