Help Youssef Provide Medicine and Shelter

am Youssef, an 18-year-old young man, and my dreams and hopes vanished in an instant. My family’s house in Khan Yunis was destroyed, and I found myself and my family living in a displacement camp in Deir al-Balah, under the scorching sun, inside a tent swaying in the wind. I wake up every morning to the sounds of waves crashing on the shore, but they no longer mean anything to me—they only remind me of the freedom we lost and the life we once had.

Every day is a new battle. I work long hours, searching in the corners of the camp for any opportunity that allows me to earn some money. Fatigue grips me, but I can't afford to give up. My father is sick, trapped in his pain, and his eyes plead for help. There are moments when I feel my heart shatter when I see his gaze; he endures his suffering in silence, but I know he is hurting. As for my little brother, despite his innocence, he is fighting hepatitis due to contaminated food that we are forced to eat.

Some days pass without me having a meal, just so I can buy the medicine my father and brother need. When I put food in my mouth, my memory conjures the image of my mother preparing meals for us, laughing joyfully. I miss her voice, which once filled our home with love, and I wish I could be by her side now.

I feel as though the world has left me, and no one cares. In our small tent, we are in both physical and emotional siege. Every night, I stretch my hands to the sky, asking God to grant me the strength to overcome this nightmare. I try to smile for my brother, but he sees the sadness in my eyes.

I tell myself that I will be strong for them. Despite all this pain, I promise them that one day will come when we will rebuild our dreams anew. But I know the road will be long and arduous, and I am here, fighting for tomorrow, for my father and brother, searching for a hope that has yet to extingui in our souls.

My name is Vann, I'm from Massachusetts, and this is my friend Youssef's story, from his words. He is daily battling just eating and sleeping, his family trying their best to survive, they could use your help! We've been in communication for a while and I want to help get him the aid he needs!
