Help YPM Club Legends Gary Button and Len Whalin

Donation protected
Hi everyone -

Those that were at Snetterton will know what happened on Thursday evening to Len's Caravan but this is it in summary

Len was travelling to Snetterton with the club bike for the YPM Meeting and his van broke down blowing his Turbo not too far from the circuit. Gary Button passed and saw him broken down on the A11 and after getting to Snett, dropped his caravan off and promptly went back to Help Len out - Thats what Gary does he helps people. The idea was to bring Lens Caravan up to the track giving Len a better chance to get to the circuit in limp mode after he tried open heart surgery on his van to bypass the turbo.

So John and Gary hooked the caravan up as Gary does every time he travels with his own caravan . This is nothing new to Gary and has been towing and hooking caravan for years - I mean what could go wrong.

Gary and Denise then set off leaving Len to get his van running and take his caravan to the circuit. What happened next was a horror story for them as 2 miles up the road Denise saw Lens caravan unhitched from the Van and exit stage left into the side of the A11 crashing into trees on the left hand verge.

The caravan is written off clearly and this was a very traumatic evening for all involved .

Gary is now going to have to pay for replacement caravan for Len - its not insured on Gary's van and its not insured by Gary cos its not his caravan. So he is out of pocket to the tune of £8000 going by the prices seen on initial research for a similar caravan to replace it. He was just trying to help his friend out but in normal Gary Button style he owns the error and has no hesitation in sorting Len out.

I know this may seem cheeky and I get that but if you feel within you to offer anything to help towards this unfortunate situation Gary finds himself in then anything will be gratefully received. I am putting this out to the YPM Facebook site in hope that most of you know these two and a lot of you will have been helped by either or both of them in the past.

The target is £8K as I state - I dont expect that kind of money - Anything we can collect will help these guys out. If for some reason it goes over the target anything extra will go to the BMCRC Medical team for them to use.

Thanks to you all in advance for any help you can give.
