Ysabel Parra is a 27-year-old Venezuelan woman diagnosed with Systemic LUPUS Erythematosus 6 and a half years ago.
It all started in April 2015 when he was celebrating his 21st birthday. She began to manifest sudden intense generalized joint pain that prevented her from moving to the limit of using a wheelchair. At first, the doctors thought it was Juvenile Arthritis; however, after carrying out numerous complimentary tests, they concluded that it was LUPUS.
This past December 2021, she began to present a series of new symptoms such as a feeling of suffocation, chest tightness, very high blood pressure, which has required several laboratory tests and the assistance of a multidisciplinary team of doctors. Both laboratory tests and her symptoms have shown signs of kidney damage because proteinuria has been detected in a range of 3000-3200, when the standard value should remain at a maximum of 150.
At this time, her nephrologist has recommended multiple renal studies, including a renal biopsy, to know how affected the kidneys are. Unfortunately, both the biopsy and the treatment to be followed are extremely expensive, especially with the humanitarian and hospital crisis that Venezuela is experiencing. This type of treatment must be obtained outside the country in most cases. During these six long and difficult years, we had not seen the need to request financial aid; however, given those above, we have seen the need to open this fundraiser to offer Ysabel the opportunity to receive the treatment you need and deserves that would help improve your quality of life.

Ysabel Parra es una joven venezolana de 27 años de edad quien fue diagnosticada con LUPUS Eritematoso Sistémico hace 6 años y medio.
Todo comenzó en abril del año 2015 cuando celebraba sus 21 años de edad. Empezó a manifestar repentinos dolores articulares generalizados intensos que le impedían moverse hasta el limite de tener que usa una silla de ruedas.
Este pasado diciembre 2021 comenzó a presentar una serie de síntomas nuevos tales como: sensación de ahogo, opresión en el pecho, tensiones arteriales muy elevadas lo cual ha requerido la realización de un sin número de exámenes de laboratorios y la asistencia de un equipo multidisciplinario de médicos. Tanto los exámenes de laboratorio como sus síntomas han mostrado indicios de daño renal debido a que la proteinuria se ha detectado en un rango de 3000-3200 cuando el valor normal debería mantener en un máximo de 150.
En estos momentos, su nefrólogo, ha recomendado realizar múltiples estudios renales incluyendo una biopsia renal con el propósito saber que tan afectado están los riñones. Tanto la biopsia como el tratamiento a seguir son sumamente costosos especialmente con la crisis humanitaria y hospitalaria que se esta viviendo en Venezuela donde en la mayoría de los casos, ese tipo de tratamientos, deben ser obtenidos fuera del país.
Durante estos 6 largos y difíciles años no nos habíamos visto en la necesidad de solicitar ayuda económica, sin embargo, en vista de lo antes mencionado nos hemos visto en la necesidad de abrir esta recaudación de fondos para poder ofrecerle a Ysabel la oportunidad de recibir el tratamiento que necesita y se merece el cual le ayudaría a mejorar su calidad de vida.
