Help Yvette Get Life-Saving Surgery in Seattle

Yvette requires a very complicated surgery to fix her hiatal hernia. This is the third attempt to fix this problem. No one in Alaska will attempt the surgery so Yvette needs to travel to Seattle for the surgery.

The surgeon is requiring her to go down in August for all the pre-surgical testing followed by a return to Alaska. She would then need to travel back down to Seattle for surgery a short time later.

This is a life-threatening condition and the surgery to fix it is complicated and very risky. A hiatal hernia is where the stomach is pushing upward through the diaphragm. Eating is an ordeal for her and she is high risk for food going down into her lungs.

She’ll be using the funds for travel, food, and lodging for both Yvette and myself to travel back and forth along with uncovered medical expenses.
