Help Yvette Lara fight cancer!
Donation protected
Hi my name is Lyandra. I am one of Yvette’s many nieces, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to make this page in order to try and alleviate some financial stress on my Tia Yvette.
This summer, Yvette noticed a lump in her throat area that grew fairly rapidly. This was a sign to go get it checked out. After many tests, it was determined that there were two locations of masses that needed to be removed and looked at further. These masses came back as two different forms of cancer. One is squamous cell carcinoma, the second is lymphoma. The course of treatment is to have radiation for at least six weeks everyday and chemotherapy once a week depending on her body’s reaction. The first few weeks have not been easy to say the least; chemotherapy is not very friendly. She has also already been through 4 surgeries that made her miss work as well as a few unexpected ER trips.
What’s more, Yvette is single and is raising her grandson Elijah who is almost 16. Also, as many of you know, Yvette is a hair dresser. This requires her to be around people and to work consistently, but with chemotherapy, her white blood cell count (infection fighters) is very low. Because of this, she should not be putting herself at risk of getting sicker to go to work.
Yvette is very humble and has a very hard time asking for any kind of help, but with all of this going on our family sees no other alternative than to reach out for help. Anyone who knows Yvette knows she has always been the giver. God has blessed her with this gift, but now it’s our turn to return her love and help!
So please, if you find in your heart to give or share this post we would be extremely grateful! Thank you for taking the time to read this post as well as the generosity I know many of you have.
