Help Shemel start over after House Fire
My name is Becky J & I’m starting this GFM to help my friend Shemel Wilkins in Boston.
On Saturday Jan. 30, 2021, Shemel & her 2 daughters, age 3 & 20 (along with 13 other residents) were displaced by a house fire, in the Dorchester section of Boston. The fire remains under investigation by BFD & at this time no cause has been given. There has been at best *minimal* media coverage about this accident.

As a single parent, Shemel works hard to provide for her daughters & this accident has left them in the middle of winter and this pandemic with NOTHING.
With your help, my goal is to help with the following:
1) First/Last/Security for new apartment. Her 2 BR needs to be no more than $2300/month, bringing the total to: $6900.
2) Furniture—beds, sofa, etc: $1500.
3) Bedding (sheet sets): $200
4) Toys for her toddler: $200
5) Clothes: $400
6) Sneakers/Boots: $200
7) Winter accessories (jackets/hats/gloves): $300
8) Food: $400
Total: $10,300. I’m setting the goal for $10,500 to take into consideration any GFM fees.
