Help Zalo raise the funds for an attorney

Zalo Delgado has been my son's best friend since they were both 12 years old and attended the sixth grade together. They are now both 32 years old and both have daughters. They call each other brothers and Zalo has always called me 'Mom.' As far as he's concerned, he has two mothers and my son, Anthony, is his brother from his other mother. I have two granddaughters and I love them both to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.

Zalo is fighting for the right to stay in his daughter's life. He was in a relationship with a young woman who had two other children from two other different baby daddies. He treated her with respect and kindness and when she got pregnant, he took responsibility and became an integral part of his daughter's life. He took her every weekend and participated in her upbringing while continuing his relationship with the mother thinking they were exclusive and one day they would get married. Not a lot of men are willing to take on responsibility so readily. Especially these days. Yet, Zalo did. He knew one day he and the baby's mother would come to terms, being spiritual and connected to God in faith. One day they would be parents to their daughter.

One day never came. Instead, when Zoe had just turned 2 years old, his daughter's mother announced she no longer wanted to live in California and was leaving her job and moving to Utah and taking Zoe with her. See you later. Have a nice life. He begged and pleaded for her not to take his daughter out of his life to another state. His pleas fell on deaf ears and she began making plans to move and job searching for work in Utah. He went to the court house and on his own filled a petition with the court who created a hearing to consider whether his daughter's mother would be allowed to take the child out of state. The judge ruled that he would assign a mediator to consider the case and whether she would not be allowed to take the child to Utah. The baby's mother moved to Utah and Zoe remained with her father while she got settled in Utah and they awaited the mediation. When she returned to attend the hearing with the Mediator, Zalo was stunned to learn that she had subsequently gotten married and was no longer going to be in a relationship with him.

The Mediator didn't have all the facts and ruled that Zoe's mother could take Zoe to Utah and the move is slated for September 30, 2021. The judge ruled what the mediator ordered and Zalo now only gets one week every three months to see his daughter out of 52 weeks of the year. Zalo has hired an attorney and will fight to keep his daughter in his life. He managed to come up with the initial payment but this will be a costly battle. The fight of one loving father to keep his daughter in the state of California so he can remain in her life. No father should have to fight this hard to keep their child in their life. So many young men are dead beats. How often does a young man fight so diligently to keep his responsibilities alive? Will you help him?
