HELP ZAMBI TO CARE FOR THE ANIMALS

Hi, my name is Donna Wilson, and I am the Managing Director of the Zambi Wildlife Foundation. At Zambi we offer homes to retired animals from the circus, entertainment industry and zoo breeding programs, many of which are old big cats such as lions and tigers. I have personally cared for big cats for the past 28 years, and I know that having the best health care is of utmost importance.

Zambi is lucky enough to have an onsite equipped vet clinic, and our vet and Zambi Director, Dr Rob Zammit has 35 years of experience treating big cats. I have worked with Dr Rob for 22 years now and have seen many a big cat recover from a life-threatening sickness or injury from his knowledge and skills as one of Australia's leading vets. The one thing missing in our vet clinic is X-Ray equipment; this is because of the high cost to purchase. We have had to transport big cats for X-Ray in the past, and this is a stressful and challenging exercise. Only this week we needed to X-Ray a big male lion that was unable to be transported, and we were desperate for help. Medical Plus Australia was kind enough to send us out a Digital Xray on loan and the product manager (Jey) to assist Dr Rob Zammit and Dr Scott Miller (TV show Vet on a Hill) to X-ray the lion's right leg. This was so amazing, and the equipment is precisely what we require as the animal was able to be sedated and X-rayed in his den.

The animals at Zambi deserve the best health care possible. Unfortunately, the cost of the equipment is $45,000, and this is why I am asking for help to raise funds. Please, if you can, no matter the amount, help me by donating to this fundraiser.
