Help Zamin bring his Afghan family to Australia
Donation protected
Zamin fled Afghanistan to escape a deadly threat from the Taliban in 2012 leaving behind his wife and four children. They have since managed to reach the relative safety of Pakistan but live in very difficult, cramped and hazardous conditions - and they are desperate to rejoin their husband and father here in Australia.
The Wonthaggi Neighbourhood Centre in conjunction with the Bass Coast Refugee Sponsorship Group in Victoria has committed to supporting and sponsoring Zamin's family through this lengthy process. The avenue which is most likely to gain the humanitarian visas they require, the Community Sponsorship Program, is very expensive. Zamin is already working hard to support his family on a day to day basis and has also committed to raise some of the funds required to bring them to Australia.
The Bass Coast Refugee Sponsorship Group is seeking to cover the shortfall which we estimate at $50,000. Your donation to support our quest would be very welcome.
